In southern Bangladesh, Cox's Bazar is a city, fishing port, tourism destination, and district headquarters. It is most known for its long stretch of natural sand beach. It's around 150 kilometers south of Chittagong. Panowa, which means "yellow flower" in Bengali, is another name for Cox's Bazar. "Palongkee" was another old name.
